As part of the firm’s dynamic team, the Director of Tax will serve as the most senior tax professional in the office, providing strategic leadership and expertise in all areas of tax compliance, planning, and advisory. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, senior leadership, and other team members to deliver high-quality tax solutions while fostering client relationships and driving business growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional to take ownership of tax functions and play a vital role in the company’s success.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field, with a Canadian CPA designation and completion (or pursuit) of the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax program. They must possess 3-5 years of accounting experience in public practice, including at least two years specializing in taxation, with expertise in tax planning, estate, and trust services. A strong understanding of Canadian Tax Acts and proficiency in tax software (e.g., ProFile) are essential. The role requires excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts for clients and stakeholders. Leadership abilities are crucial, including experience supervising and developing staff. The candidate should demonstrate exceptional client service orientation, managing multiple projects with accuracy while fostering long-term relationships.
