2023 Community Partners

Free Play for Kids
Free Play for Kids is an Edmonton-based non-profit providing free play for kids in Edmonton, because good things happen when kids are free to play. Free Play for Kids delivers totally free out-of-school care sports programming in Edmonton for kids in need. The organization’s mission is to provide programs and spaces that are safe, accessible, and inclusive; where communities are empowered through play.

Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & NWT
Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs. Junior Achievement of Northern Alberta & NWT reaches over 26,000 students per year, made possible through a partnership between the business community, educators, and volunteers who work together to inspire young people to reach their dreams and tap into their potential.

Youth Empowerment and Support Services (YESS)
Edmonton-based YESS provides immediate, low-barrier 24/7 shelter and crisis support and temporary supportive housing for youth ages 15-21 as well as drop-in counselling, medical care, cultural connections and individualized wrap-around support for youth 15-24. They work collaboratively within a network of care, called the Youth Agency Collaboration, focused on the prevention of youth homelessness by providing youth with the necessary supports to stabilize their housing, improve their well-being, build life skills, connect with community, and prevent chronic adult homelessness.
